Q. What method do you use for cleaning?
A. The method we use for cleaning is hot water extraction, commonly known as steam cleaning. D-Max Carpet Care’s steam cleaning removes the toughest and deepest dirt; safely and carefully. A specially formulated cleaning solution and hot, soft water are infused deep within the carpet fibers. Furthermore, a powerful suction removes dirt, allergens, the cleaning solution, and 95% of the dampness. Our cleaning method is most suggested among carpet manufacturers.

Q. Do I need to vacuum before the crew arrives?
A. Depends on the service requested. Basic Carpet Cleaning DOESN’T include vacuuming, please make sure to notify us while you scheduling your appointment so we can give you a correct estimate.

Q. What do you consider as an area?
A. An area is normally a room that is up to 200 square feet. Rooms over 200 square feet, but less than 400 square feet, are priced as two areas. As for areas such as bathrooms, hallways, walk-in closets, etc., they are priced at a lower cost.

Q. How long will it take to clean my carpets?
A. Typically, it takes about 20 minutes per room. This time can differ based on the amount of furniture needed to be moved, how dirty the carpet is, and other necessary extraction treatments.

Q. Do you move furniture?
A. Yes, we do move furniture for an extra fee.If you want your furniture to be moved: our cleaning professionals are trained to move your furniture. After the cleaning is finished, we will return your furniture to its original place on protective sheets. We do recommend removing items off of your furniture such at lamps, plants, etc. We will move most furniture that can be safely moved. There are several items we cannot move including pianos, china cabinets, beds, pool tables, bookshelves etc.

Q. How long will it take for my carpet to dry?
A. The time it takes for the carpet to dry depends on humidity, temperature, and airflow in that area. It can take anywhere from 3 to 8 hours for the carpet to completely dry. It is recommended to turn on ceiling fans and A/C or heater (depending on the time of the year), to speed the time it takes to dry. Our technicians will provide you with protective sheets of plastic to ensure that your furniture will not transfer any color. You may walk on the carpet right after it has been cleaning, but avoid wearing street shoes due to the possibility of re-soiling the carpet. It is suggested to walk on the clean carpet with rubber-bottom shoes. Be careful, especially when walking on a wet carpet area, onto a non-carpet area, to prevent slipping.

Q. I have heard that cleaning my carpet makes it soil faster. Is this true?
A. This problem is the outcome of residue left behind in the carpet which attracts dirt. It is commonly caused by the soap used in the cleaning process that hasn’t been rinsed out completely. Our cleaning solution and hot water extraction cleaning procedure don’t  leave any residue behind, this prevents from dirt accumulating.

Q. I have had my carpet cleaned, but the spots have reappeared. What should I do?
A. Most spots that are removed, generally don’t reappear, however, some substances in the carpet backing may rise to the surface after cleaning. If this happens, please contact D-Max Carpet Care at 281-444-DMAX (3629) ASAP.

Q. Do you guarantee removal of all spots or stains in the carpet?
A. We cannot guarantee that all spots and stains will be removed. There are certain substances that can permanently discolor the carpet. The age and material of the carpet is a factor the changes the possibility of stain removal. Our technicians will determine whether or not they will be able to remove the stain/spot.There is also always an option to patch the carpet in case of necessity.

Q. After my carpet was cleaned, it has bubbles or ripples in the carpet. What caused this?
A. The bubbles/ripples should start to flatten as the carpet is drying. This is normally a sign that the carpet needed to be stretched prior to cleaning. If these bubbles don’t disappear by the time the carpet is fully dry, please contact D-Max Carpet Care at 281-444-DMAX (3629) to schedule a stretching service.

Q. Will carpet cleaning get rid of fleas on my carpet?
A. We cannot assure that the carpet cleaning will eliminate the fleas. We suggest that the customer should kill the fleas prior to carpet cleaning. Please note that fleas can also be found in upholstery areas and/or area rugs.

Q. Why do your prices vary from other carpet cleaners?
A. When comparing prices ask questions and keep a few things in mind: Our price for Basic Carpet Cleaning includes treating for stains, deodorizing, and a 30-day satisfaction policy. There are no hidden additional prices. To make sure of your safety we ensure that our company never sub-contracts, so our technicians are always background checked and properly trained D-Max Carpet Care workers.

Q. How do you guarantee customer satisfaction?
A. We are happy to work out your concerns/ issues that may arise. In some cases, if the customer is not satisfied with certain areas and/or spots, our technicians will re-clean, if ou are still not satisfied with the results we will honor our Money Back Guarantee for the problem area.

Q. Why should I have a protector applied to my cleaned carpets?
A. As a finishing touch to your newly-cleaned carpet and/or upholstery, a protector can be applied. This protector helps resist soiling from dirt and both water and oil based spills, by wrapped each fiber in a protective coating. This layer gives you more time to clean a spill before it seeps into the fibers, also making vacuuming easier.

Q. Does carpet come with a protector?
A. Most carpets come with a dry soil protector, which is removed over time. Carpet companies suggest that you have this protector reapplied every year.
