TILE & GROUT CLEANING-FAQ

Q. Why should I have my tile & grout cleaning?
A. Dirt builds up over time, dulling your tile’s appearance and fading your grout. A professional tile and grout cleaning is the way to remove accumulated dirt.

Q. How do you clean my tile & grout?
A. We use a high-pressure rotary tool with double turning jets. This is combined with the same truck-mounted steam cleaning we use to clean carpet. We use specific cleaners for tile and grout that clean away any dirt build-up or wax implanted in the grout lines.

Q. How often should I have my floor cleaned?
A. Many factors affect the frequency of cleaning such as foot traffic, pets, etc. These will determine how often you should have your tile and grout cleaned.

Q. How long will it take to have my tile floor cleaned?
A. For a room up to 300 square feet, it normally takes our technicians 30 minutes to an hour. The time can vary based on the size of the tile, amount of dirt, and area size. If you choose to have a sealant added, it normally takes 2 to 3 hours to complete the process.

Q. Why should I have my grout lines sealed?
A. Grout is a sponge-like material that absorbs spills. Having a sealant applies will help create a protection, giving you more time to clean spills before they seep into the grout.

Q. How long do I have to stay off the floor after the sealant has been applied?
A. We suggest that you wait 30 minutes prior to walking on the floor to let the protection dry. It will take 1 day for the sealant to completely adjust, so we recommend that you avoid liquid spills.

Q. Do I have to use a special floor cleaner if I have the sealant applied?
A. We suggest using a neutral cleaner for your floor. After mopping, it is best to rinse the cleaner you used. You should avoid bleach and other harmful chemicals.

Q. What is the clear seal?
A. The clear seal is an invisible layer of protection that enters into the pores of the grout. This gives you more time to clean up dirt and liquid spills before they soak into the grout, however, it is not waterproof.

Q. What is the color seal?
A. To restore your grout, it is suggested to use our color seal. It will transform your discolored grout back to its original radiant color. The color seal provides a waterproof protection from liquid spills.
